Over 1,500 Masks Donated By Glenview Company To Fight Coronavirus

Dimension Design, through a GoFundMe effort, has produced over 1,500 fabric masks to aid in the fight against the coronavirus.

GLENVIEW, IL — Dimension Design, a Glenview-based production agency, has produced and donated over 1,500 masks and 120 gowns as of last week to front-line responders to the coronavirus, including the Glenview Police Department, according to a GoFundMe effort from the company. As of Wednesday, the GoFundMe page has raised over $14,000 of its $20,000 goal to produce fabric masks for emergency responders, Chicago-area senior living centers and jails.

Donations will continue to fund the purchase of fabric and elastic materials to construct the masks. Any unused funds from the GoFundMe will be donated to the American Red Cross.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advises the use of simple cloth face coverings for the general public, as opposed to surgical masks or N95 respirators, which must be reserved for health care workers and emergency personnel.
