Paddle Tennis Begins In Glenview May 4

The Glenview Prairie Club for golf and paddle tennis will have its grand opening May 4, featuring a paddle tennis demonstration and a ribbon cutting.

The Glenview Park District is celebrating the grand opening of its new Prairie Club with a paddle tennis demonstration an hour before the ribbon cutting. 

On Saturday, May 4, the Prairie Club at 2800 West Lake St. will begin its grand opening at 10:00 a.m. with a professional paddle demonstration, followed by a ribbon cutting at 11:00 a.m., then two hours of paddle tennis playing and tours of the new clubhouse and courts.

The club's 9 hole golf course will also be open from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at its usual weekend rate.

Prairie Club memberships are now available online at resident and non-resident rates. Find information and purchase memberships on Glenview's paddle tennis website.

People are also invited to a free introduction to paddle tennis clinic held by paddle professional Tony Marino. Two sessions will be held on Saturday May 18, a morning session from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. and an afternoon session from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
