Resident Works To Make Glenview 'Better Place': Patch Community Leader

GLENVIEW, IL — Without community leaders, Glenview wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to recognize these often unsung community leaders and celebrate their contributions.

Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?

While most people Millie’s age are slowing down in their later years and not taking on additional responsibilities - Millie Campo has worked tirelessly to make her community a better place. She has been a beloved Board Member of the nonprofit organization Glenview Women’s Club for more than 8 years and never hesitates to help when needed be it through mentoring a newer member or Board Member or attend a last minute event or just be a supportive friend to one of the women. She also participates with another local nonprofit called Greener Glenview and tries to spread their mission of sustainability by inviting their organizers to speak at our event. Our town is lucky to have a wonderful person like Millie be part of it for many decades.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?

That she’s helping the community of Glenview maintain its high quality of life through her participation in the Chamber of Commerce and area nonprofit organizations.
