Rocktemberfest Brings Glenview Community Together To Support Group's Charitable Initiatives
MLB of Glenview Public Charity is putting on the annual event featuring Primary, The Cure cover band, later this month.
GLENVIEW, IL — The annual Rocktember Music Festival is set to return to Glenview this month, featuring live music, food and drinks, raffles, as well as a live auction. Brought to the village by Making Life Better of Glenview Public Charity, the show is planned for 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sept. 13, at 1948 D Lehigh Road.
MLB of Glenview Public Charity is a social, fraternal, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization "comprised of local professionals with diverse backgrounds who are interested in exchanging ideas, sharing perspectives and forming meaningful relationships through the organization’s charitable endeavors."
Headlining the show is Primary, The Cure tribute band, which hits the stage at 8:30 p.m. Big Boss & The Toes opens up the music at 6:30 p.m., playing classic rock covers. Food and drinks will be provided by Oak at The Glen.

According to organizers, this year's edition will benefit Boys Hope Girls Hope, The Debra Gelfand Children's Foundation, Family Service Center, Northfield Township Food Pantry, Sister Paulanne's Needy Family Fund and Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook.
"We’re especially excited about this year's lineup and silent auction, with proceeds benefiting local programs and causes that make a real impact in our community," Ed Shabaz, Rocktember committee member, tells Patch.

Tickets are $85 and include admission, food, drinks and entertainment. A donation is 100 percent tax-deductible. Learn more here.
