Seniors Partner Up With Animal Shelter For 'Howl-iday' Adoption Event In Glenview

The event, being held at Emerald Place, will feature both puppies and older dogs for adoption.

GLENVIEW, IL — If you're thinking about adopting a new furry friend this holiday season, make sure to stop by Emerald Place on Thursday for its "Howl-iday" adoption event. In partnership with Heartland Animal Center of Morton Grove, seniors from the Anthem Memory Care community will be helping local families find the perfect dog.

"Howl-iday" will run from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, at 1879 Chestnut Ave. Organizers say the event will feature both puppies and older dogs, giving the public the opportunity to meet, interact and even adopt a new furry friend. Emerald Place residents will even participate in a festive photo shoot with the animals to encourage adoption.

The public is invited, and residents are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots. As a thank you, each donor will receive a complimentary photo taken by a professional photographer.
