2 Seeking Grayslake Mayoral Seat; Rhett Taylor To Retire

GRAYSLAKE, IL — Longtime Grayslake mayor Rhett Taylor will be stepping down in 2025 and two will be seeking to claim his seat in the spring 2025 elections.

Village trustee Elizabeth Davies has filed nominating papers to run for mayor and Jeff Loffredo, who is on the Avon Township Board of Trustees, also filed for Taylor's spot, according to the Daily Herald.

Meanwhile, incumbent trustees Lalena Zoe Magnetta, Pradip "Pete" Sahu and William Kornit will seek re-election in spring.
