4 Gurnee Homes Burglarized On Same Night, Suspect Photo Released

According to police, items were taken from the insides of each home, all of which are in close proximity to one another.

GURNEE, IL — Four burglaries were reported to have taken place at area homes during the overnight hours of Monday, May 28 to Tuesday, May 29, according to Gurnee police. A release from the Gurnee Police Department said a burglary took place at a home on Hollyhock Court, another at a home on Lawson Boulevard, and two at a Beechwood Avenue home. Police said all of the homes are close to one another, and personal property was taken from inside each home.

According to police, the suspected burglar(s) got inside the homes through what appears to be unlocked or open doors, including open garage doors or rear sliding-glass doors. One of the home's cameras captured a video of a suspect outside the home.

Police encourage residents to pay extra attention to securing their doors, especially overnight, and to use quality lighting as this remains the most effective method in preventing nighttime crime

Residents are also encouraged to call 911 whenever they see anything suspicious, police said.

Police ask anyone with information about these incidents to call the Gurnee Police Department at 847-599-7000. Those with information can also anonymously call Lake County Crime Stoppers at 847-662-2222. Your information may lead to a cash reward, police said.
