Actors needed for CLC theatre production of β€œ39 Steps”

Auditions are Sept. 15 and 16.

Whodunnit? It could be you! Auditions are available for the College of Lake County (CLC) theatre department’s production of β€œ39 Steps,” adapted by Patrick Barlow, from the novel by John Buchan, from the movie by Alfred Hitchcock and directed by Dylan S. Roberts. Auditions are 6:30 p.m. Sept. 15 and 16 in the Studio Theatre at the James Lumber Center for Performing Arts, 19351 W. Washington St., Grayslake.

Auditions are open to students and community members age 18 and up. Actors should prepare two contrasting memorized monologues, one minute each, and need only to attend one audition. Callbacks will be 6:30-10 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17.

Rehearsals will begin the week of Sept. 22 and are held Monday-Thursday evenings, with possible weekend rehearsals based on cast availability, until tech week. Performances are Nov. 7-15. Be sure to have these dates free before auditioning.
