Antioch Man Shoots At Delivery Driver: Police
No one was injured in the incident, which happened over the weekend in Antioch.

ANTIOCH, IL β A 34-year-old Antioch man accused of chasing down and firing shots at a delivery driver over the weekend remained in custody Wednesday as he awaits a disposition hearing in Lake County Court.
Travis R. Mallet, of the 1200 block of Main Street, is expected to appear for a Wednesday afternoon hearing in Lake County Court to determine if he should remain detained on aggravated and unlawful use of a weapon charges as he awaits trial.
Malott, a convicted felon, was taken into custody Sunday morning following a brief standoff with Antioch Police Department and the Northern Illinois Police Alarm System, according to a news release from the Antioch Police Department.

Authorities were first called to Country Manor Apartments, which is in the 1200 block of Main Street, for a report of shots fired at about 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Malott is accused of pulling out a pistol and chasing a delivery who arrived at the apartment complex to bring food from a local restaurant, according to a news release from the Antioch Police Department. The delivery driver told police Malott recognized him from a prior dispute.

As the delivery driver tried to get away, Malott fired several rounds at him and his vehicle, according to the news release. No one was hit by the gunfire, and no one was injured.
Malott retreated into an apartment and stopped cooperating with officers, police said. The SWAT team was called to the scene and Malott was brought into custody at about 3 a.m. Sunday.
