The Lake County Symphony Orchestra invites music lovers to a one-of-a-kind holiday concert on Friday, December 12 at 7:30 PM at the James Lumber Center in Grayslake. Timeless Treasures features original holiday music composed and conducted by the acclaimed composer Jim Stephenson and featuring guest soloist Sara Sheffield, the first female vocalist in the history of βThe Presidentβs Ownβ U.S. Marine Band. Sheffieldβs groundbreaking appointment was featured nationally on CNN and marked a major moment in military music history.
From festive classics like Joy to the World and O Christmas Tree to inventive new compositions, this concert promises a night of wonder and nostalgia. Guests can also participate in a silent auction of two stunning framed photography prints by Kristen Jacobsen and purchase holiday poinsettias, making the evening perfect for friends, family, and music enthusiasts.
