Back-to-School Consignment Sale, Save-A-Pet Party This Weekend

Looking for something to do this weekend? There's plenty to do in and around Grayslake, from checking out the consignment sale at the Lake County Fairgrounds to attending the "Musical Summer Showcase" that features Grayslake-area residents.

Back-to-School Deals

Penny Posh will hold a consignment sale at the Lake County Fairgrounds Aug. 2-4. The sale will include items like gently-used toys, clothing, books and more. The sale will be held on Aug. 2 from 5 to 8 p.m., Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Aug. 4 from 9 a.m. to noon. Admission to the sale is $2 on Friday, $1 on Saturday, and free on Sunday.

Celebrating Save-A-Pet

Save-A-Pet will celebrate its 41st anniversary with a special event from noon to 3 p.m. Aug. 3. The event, which will be held atSave-A-Pet, will feature live music, blessing of people and animals, food, raffles, vendors and a bake sale. Visit the Save-A-Pet website for more information.

"Musical Summer Showcase" at Austin's

Liberty Town Productions will hold its fifth annual "Musical Summer Showcase" at 6 and 8:15 p.m. Aug. 3. The performances will be held in The Fuel Room at Austin's Saloon & Eatery and will feature songs from productions like "Les Misérables" and "Shrek."
