CCSD 46 seeks community participation in superintendent search focus group

Grayslake -- Community Consolidated School District 46 is hosting a superintendent search focus group to gather input from the CCSD 46 educational community. The district is seeking a leader who will continue to build on the district's strengths and guide CCSD 46 into the future. The purpose of the focus group is to gather input on the key qualities, priorities, and experiences the next superintendent of CCSD 46 should possess. Feedback will be used to create a profile for the ideal candidate and will directly inform the search process.

The focus group will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 6:30 to 7:15 pm in the Falcon Room at Frederick School. Frederick School is located at 595 Frederick Road in Grayslake.

All feedback will be kept confidential and used to compile a collective summary for the search committee. We thank the community for its dedication to the success of our students and the future of the school district.

Community Consolidated School District 46 is located in northeastern Illinois in central Lake County, approximately forty miles north of Chicago and fourteen miles west of Lake Michigan. CCSD 46 serves parts of the villages of Grayslake, Third Lake, Hainesville, Round Lake, Round Lake Park, Round Lake Beach, and Lake Villa.

The district is comprised of eight schools, including four schools serving grades K-4 (Avon Center School, Meadowview School, Prairieview School, Woodview School), one intermediate school serving grades 5-6 (Frederick School), one middle school serving grades 7-8 (Grayslake Middle School), one neighborhood school serving grades K-8 (Park Campus), and an Early Childhood Center housed at Prairieview School.
