CLC Foundation’s golf classic drives change raising $136,000 for scholarships
The event raised 4.2% more than last year.

The 33rd annual Scholarship Golf Classic, held on Monday, Sept. 15 at Stonewall Orchard Golf Club in Grayslake, was organized by the College of Lake County (CLC) Foundation team and members of the Foundation Board of Directors, including Golf Committee Chair Scot W. Parker of Legat Architects.
CLC President Dr. Lori Suddick and Renee Young, chair of the CLC Foundation Board, greeted golfers on the fairway throughout the day, sharing in the spirit of philanthropy and reinforcing the college’s commitment to educational access and equity. Members of the CLC Board of Trustees Chair Amanda D. Howland, Vice Chair Dr. William M. Griffin and Trustee Paul G. Virgilio were also present, golfing in support of student scholarships.
“The 33rd Annual Scholarship Golf Classic brought together 126 golfers and 18 sponsoring organizations, raising $136,000 to support scholarships for CLC students, a 4.2% increase over last year’s total,” said Leigh Ann M. Jacobson, CFRE, executive director of the CLC Foundation. “We are deeply grateful to our returning and new sponsors for their generosity, and to everyone who joined us on the course to help transform students’ lives through education.”

The Foundation also extends sincere appreciation to this year’s sponsors, including The Liam Connell Family, RJ Galla Company, Inc., Robbins Schwartz, Consumers Credit Union, Knickerbocker Roofing and Paving Co., Old National Bank, Packaging Corporation of America (PCA), UCC Environmental and Virgilio & Associates.
