Coroner IDs Man, 75, Killed In I-94 Crash
Eric Kott, of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, died from blunt force injuries to the head sustained as the result of a crash.
GURNEE, IL — A 75-year-old man killed in a two-vehicle collision Friday afternoon on Interstate 94 near Route 21 in Gurnee has been identified.
Eric Kott, of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, died from blunt force injuries to the head sustained as the result of a crash, according to a news release from the Lake County Coroner's Office.
The collision happened when a gray Dodge Ram, driven by the 75-year-old man, changed lanes and hit the side of a semi-truck that had been hauling a trailer at about 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The Dodge went off the road, went up an embankment and rolled over.

The driver of the Dodge, who has been identified as Lott, was partially ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Illinois State Police are investigating the crash.
