Drug-Induced Homicide Charge Filed In Death Of Woman, 23

A 22-year-old Lakemoor man has been charged in connection with the death of the local woman.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — A 22-year-old Lakemoor man faces charges for allegations he provided a 23-year-old woman with a lethal combination of drugs that caused her death.

Marcus Lejsner, of the 400 bock of South Highland Drive in Lakewood, has been charged with drug-induced homicide in connection with the death of the woman, who was found unresponsive by her family in the 38100 block of North State Park Road in unincorporated Spring Grove at about 11:20 a.m. on Feb. 9, according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities say Lejsner gave the woman the lethal combination of drugs and then the two fell asleep. When Lejsner woke up, he found the woman unresponsive but left the home without seeking help for her, according to police.

Her family found her a short time later and called 911. The woman was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to the news release.

Authorities took Lejsner into custody at his home on Tuesday, and he is scheduled to appear in McHenry County Court for an initial hearing Wednesday.
