Babysitting Basics
The Grayslake Park District will offer the American Red Cross Babysitting Course from 9:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. July 21 at the Recreation Center, 240 Commerce Drive. The cost to attend is $75 for residents and $94 for non-residents. Call Shelly Regnier at (847) 223-7529 for more information.
A Berry Good Time at the Market
Eager to enjoy some fresh berries? Check out the Grayslake Farmers Market from 3-7 p.m. July 31 to find everything from berries to baked goods. What's the one item you can't leave without? Tell us in the comment section!
Recycle Your Electronics—For Free!
Did you know that you can recycle your electronics for free at the Grayslake Public Works Facility, 585 Berry Ave., Monday through Saturday? Accepted items include televisions, monitors, printers, computers and more. The drop-off hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. Celebrating Save-A-Pet
Save-A-Pet will celebrate its 41st anniversary with a special event from noon to 3 p.m. Aug. 3. The event, which will be held at Save-A-Pet, will feature live music, blessing of people and animals, food, raffles, vendors and a bake sale. Visit the Save-A-Pet website for more information.
