Libertyville Fatal Crash Victim Identified; Charges Pending
The 22-year old passenger of a Volkswagen Beetle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Libertyville Police have released additional information about the fatal crash that occurred at Peterson and Harrison roads on Saturday morning at 2:45 a.m.
Steven Daskauskas, a passenger in the Volkswagen Beetle died in the collision.
Libertyville Police investigations revealed that the Volkswagen Beetle was traveling eastbound on Peterson Road. The semi-tractor trailer was traveling westbound on Peterson Road and in the process of turning left to travel southbound onto Harris Road.

The front of the Volkswagen Beetle collided with the rear of the semi-tractor trailer.
The 22-year-old woman driving the Volkswagen Beetle was taken to Advocate Condell Hospital. The 41-year-old female driver of the semi was not hurt. Neither drivers’ names have been released.

Charges are pending and the accident remains under investigation.
