Want to check out a local garage sale this weekend? There's a multi-family sale being held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 9 and 10 at 18377 W. Springwood, along with a contractor and family garage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 9-11 at 136 Cecilia.

Cullen Park Rededication

The Grayslake Park District will hold a rededication ceremony at Cullen Park at noon Aug. 10. The park has a new playground, picnic shelter, bag courts, a half basketball court, a drinking fountain, a bike rack and extensive landscaping.

North Shore Flea

Want to venture outside of Grayslake? There's a big flea market, North Shore Flea, at the Highwood Rec Center, 428 Green Bay Road, Highwood. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 11. Check out more here.
