Grayslake Historical Society to Host 'Vintage Brass' Concert
The concert will be held today, Aug. 7, at 7 p.m.

The Grayslake Historical Society will host the Vintage Brass band for a special free concert at 7 p.m. today, Aug. 7, in the courtyard of the museum, 134 Hawley St., Grayslake.
The band, composed of Lake County area residents, will play selections of favorite traditional American music along with music ranging from Sousa to spirituals. A little ragtime will be included.
The museum will be open before and after the performance.Â
Throughout August, visitors can explore the new museum exhibition, Farms: Seeds of our Community. This exhibit explores Grayslake's rich agricultural heritage through rare images and artifacts from the collection of the Grayslake Historical Society and a number of local organizations and individuals.
Children will have the opportunity to learn about the history of farming through hands-on displays in the adjacent classroom.
Hours at the museum are noon to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and during the Farmers' Market on Wednesday evenings and during other downtown Grayslake events.
