Grayslake North Lacrosse: Day Four of Spring Break
The Grayslake North Lacrosse team is providing updates throughout the week about their spring break trip to North Carolina.

The lacrosse team arose from their much-needed sleep at 7:45 in order to eat our daily hotel provided breakfast. We then ventured off to the practice field for a light practice; just stick drills and skeleton offense. We needed to save all of the strength we had for our future opponents, the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders.
Post-practice, our coach treated us to a delicious southern brunch at Perkins. We enjoyed omelets, biscuits, sandwiches and some even ordered a side of French silk pie. We were given about two hours to relax before we took a bus ride down to our last game in North Carolina. Once off the bus, our game faces were put on and we stepped on the recent turf that the high school had.
Once all geared up, we began our pre-game routine of line drills and shooting drills. We came out hot by scoring the first 3 goals in the game. And by halftime, we were up by two. Even with the help of everyone on the offense and defense, we ended up losing 14-8 after a very close game.

After the game, we enjoyed sharing dinner with the Cardinal Gibbons team and had plenty of friendly conversation. After dinner, we headed back to the hotel and a few hours later, we were greeted by pizza in the lobby to feed our hungry stomachs.
