Grayslake North PSP Students Honored
Public Service Practicum students were recognized during their recent awards night.
The Public Service Practicum banquet was held to honor all outgoing and incoming PSP students. Led by teacher Chris Kubic, the PSP course at is offered to juniors and seniors and its purpose is to combine public service with skill based training in project management, marketing, leadership and professional communication.
"Students walk out of the class with better understanding of what needs are in their area and how they can design projects and get people to participate in them to meet those needs," Kubic said after the Knight in a Box project held last week. During that event, PSP students slept outside the school in large boxes to help raise awareness of homelessness.
Kubic said that PSP had 22 outgoing students and 44 incoming students. Among the awards given out, the following students were recognized:

- Hardest Worker: Junior Rebecca Fukes
- Most Inspirational: Senior Paulina Snopek
- Most Valuable Player: Senior David Neill and Junior Rebecca Fukes
- Best Leader: Senior Natalie Krajewski and Senior Kathryn Harrsch
