Grayslake Police Officer Responsible For Car, Pedestrians Crash
Two women were hurt in the July 25 crash involving a Grayslake police car, report said.
GRAYSLAKE, IL — Lake County Sheriff's Office investigators concluded a Grayslake Police Deparment officer is responsible for a Thursday morning crash involving a Grayslake police car and two female pedestrians, officials said Monday, according to the Daily Herald. The name of the officer involved in the crash that injured the a 22-year-old woman from Third Lake and a 30-year-old woman from Grayslake hasn't been released, and Lake County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Chris Covelli said no citations have been issued, the Daily Herald reported.

The two women were going through a Seymour Avenue crosswalk around 1:20 a.m. Thursday when the police car headed west on Center Street tried turning left onto Seymour, and reportedly hit the women who according to investigators had the right away, Covelli said.
