H. Allan Melin was a Founder of Grayslake Police Force

H. Allan Melin passed away on Sept. 4, 2013, weeks short of his 100th birthday in Port Richey FL.

Born in Chicago in 1913, he was a long-time resident of Grayslake and was one of the founders of the Grayslake Police Force. He was a Navy veteran and a member of the Lions club.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Paula, and son Craig of Spring Hill, FL and Brian of Wadsworth, IL.
