WAUKEGAN, IL — An inmate at Lake County Sheriff’s Correctional Officers was arrested after police found a small baggie of an unknown substance he was hiding on July 4, according to a release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office. Tony Howard, 33, had been booked late in the day of July 3.

Police said around 1 a.m. on July 4 they did a secondary search of Howard. During the search, they found the small baggie "wedged in his buttocks," the release said.

Police ordered him to turn it over. "Instead, Howard removed the baggie from his buttocks and quickly swallowed it," the release said.
