Lake County Police Seek Info on Armed Robbery
The incident occurred at the TA Travel Center Tuesday Night.

Lake County Sheriff’s Police said an unknown white male in his 20s entered the TA Travel Center in unincorporated Lake County Tuesday night, jumped over the counter behind the attendant and placed a sharp object to the back of her neck.
“The unknown offender ordered the attendant to open the cash register where he removed the cash then fled on foot toward the travel center restaurant,” police said in a written release. “A K9 track led to the restaurant parking lot where it abruptly ended indicating that the offender may have left in a waiting vehicle.”
The incident occurred at 7:28 p.m., March 3.

The offender is described as 5’5” to 5’7”, with an average build, clean shaven with no accent, police stated.
“The attendant described the offender as having “distinct pale green eyes,” police stated. “The offender was last seen wearing a red baseball cap, gray sweatshirt and dark colored pants.”
