Man Arrested As 60 Grams of Heroin Seized At Zion Home
Andrew Q. Kaywon-Thomas faces unlawful possession charges after authorities seized 60 grams of heroin from a home in Zion.

ZION, IL — A Zion man was arrested Wednesday as authorities recovered more than 60 grams of heroin from a home in the 2800 block of Galilee Avenue in Zion, according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office. The arrest of 37-year-old Andrew Q. Kaywon-Thomas and drug recovery was the result of a month-long narcotics investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Group and Zion Police Department, according to the news release.
The sheriff's office reported the investigation ended Wednesday morning with a search warrant at the home where Kaywon-Thomas, a documented street gang member, lives.
The Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office approved the felony charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of a controlled substance against Kaywon-Thomas, who the sheriff's office said is being held in the Lake County Jail awaiting an initial court hearing.
