Man Arrested For Stealing Credit Cards From Cars In Antioch: Police
Jose Tobias faces charges of residential burglary, identity theft and unlawful use of a credit card.
ANTIOCH, IL — A 23-year-old Waukegan man is in custody for allegations he stole credit cards from cars in a subdivision in Antioch.
Jose Tobias faces charges of residential burglary, identity theft and unlawful use of a credit card in connection with the burglaries, which were reported in the Red Wing subdivision on the afternoon of December 8. The credit cards were later used in the Lake County area.
The Antioch Police Department investigated the incidents and issued an arrest warrant for Tobias.

Tobias was taken into custody on Tuesday.
“Antioch is a safe community, but we must remain vigilant, as no community is immune to criminal activity such as these incidents," said Antioch Police Chief Guttschow. "We continue to urge residents to take precautions such as locking doors, securing valuables, and reporting suspicious activity. These simple steps can greatly reduce the risk of becoming a crime victim. While our officers are actively patrolling and working to deter crime, we rely on the partnership of our community to help keep Antioch safe.”
