Man Ejected From ATV During Crash In Unincorporated Zion: Sheriff
According to the Lake County Sheriff's office, the ATV hit an embankment Sunday afternoon and rolled over, ejecting the driver.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Sheriff's Technical Crash Investigations Unit is investigating after a man was ejected during an ATV crash the sheriff's office said happened at 3 p.m. Sunday in incorporated Zion. According to a news release from the sheriff's office, early investigation shows that the 56-year-old man from unincorporated Zion was on the ATV headed westbound on 17th street, east of Sheridan Road, when he veered to the right and the ATV left the road on the north side of the roadway.
According to the sheriff's office, the ATV hit an embankment and rolled over, ejecting the driver.
The driver wasn't wearing a helmet and has significant injuries, according to the news release.

He was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville where he remains in critical condition, the sheriff's office said.
