Man Exchanged Vaping Products for Sex With Minors: Gurnee Police

A man from Round Lake Park is accused of selling vaping products to minors in exchange for sex acts or explicit images.

GURNEE— A man from Round Lake Park is accused of selling vaping products to minors in exchange for sex acts or explicit photos.

Isai J. Gonzaga, 25, was arrested by Gurnee detectives on Tuesday and later released from jail on a $250,000 bond.

Gurnee police began investigating Gonzaga after getting tips the man was taking sex acts and sexually explicit photos or videos from minors as payment for vape products, according to a statement from police.

The investigation revealed Gonzaga would drive his victims to another location to carry out the exchange and often used Snapchat to receive sexual images and videos. More than one of the victims was between 13 and 17 years old, police said.

Gonzaga reportedly declined to speak with detectives.

On Tuesday, Gonzaga was charged with five counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of minors.
