Man Hit, Killed By Metra Train In Lake County Saturday

The man was fatally struck by a Metra train in between Fox Lake and Ingleside on Saturday night.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — A man was hit and killed by a Metra train in between Ingleside and Fox Lake on Saturday night.

Officials said the train hit the man while traveling at about 50 mph near Rollins Road around 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, the Daily Herald is reporting. The man was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The man's identity has not yet been released.
