McHenry County's Mass Vaccination Clinic In McHenry Stops Offering Vaccines

The McHenry County Department of Health announced they are no longer offering COVID-19 vaccinations at their McHenry clinic but will continue offering COVID-19 testing.

The COVID-19 clinic, located at 1900 North Richmond Road in McHenry, was opened in February.

The site officially ended COVID-19 vaccinations on Saturday, according to the McHenry County Department of Health.

The site, which is operated by Curative, will remain open to continue offering COVID-19 testing.

“Vaccine is widely available throughout McHenry County,” the health department said in a statement.

Those who are looking to find a location providing COVID-19 vaccinations can visit Vaccines.gov.

“Immunity caused by infection of the virus is limited in its protection against COVID-19. One recent study suggests that you are twice as likely to get reinfected if you are unvaccinated,” said Dr. Laura Buthod, MD, Medical Advisor.

“Vaccines are a safe and effective way of preventing infection and reducing the risk of severe illness caused by COVID-19, so protect yourself and those you love by getting vaccinated,” Buthod said.

Those who need help registering for the vaccine are asked to call the McHenry County Department of Health COVID-19 Call Center at 815-334-4045.

McHenry County residents who need assistance with transportation to their vaccination appointment can call the Call Center to be connected to transportation services.
