Missing Antioch Teen Found Safe At Wisconsin Home: Sheriff

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Sheriff's office said a 16-year-old Antioch girl who has been missing since Wednesday was found safe Monday morning at a home in Union Grove, Wisconsin. Emma Roberts, from the 26100 block of West Spring Grove Road, in Antioch, was found by sheriff's detectives at a Union Grove home in the 1400 block of 11th Avenue, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. Lake County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives continued searching for Roberts over the weekend, during which the sheriff’s 911 Emergency Communications Center received several sighting tips from the public, but none resulted in Roberts being located.

However, sheriff’s detectives got information that Roberts was possibly at a home in Union Grove, and found her after interviewing friends and acquaintances, according to the news release.

Roberts reportedly went missing from Westosha Central High School last week, in Salem, at the end of the school day Wednesday, according to authorities. She stayed enrolled at Central High School District of Westosha after recently moving to Antioch, authorities said.

Sheriff's Detectives believed Roberts was given a ride home from school but left again before her family arrived home. Emma did not leave home with her cellular phone, as it was previously taken as a consequence, police added.

The sheriff's office said Monday that arrangements are being made to bring Robert's home, and thanks the thousands of people from across the country who shared the teen's information or called with possible sighting information in an attempt to locate her.
