Police Called To Grayslake Home For 'Suspicious' Package: Police

GRAYSLAKE, IL — A suspicious package delivered to a home in Grayslake required a police response Thursday morning.

An unknown person delivered the package to a front porch in the 300 block of Sommerset Drive at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday, according to a news release from the Grayslake Police Department.

Police say the package was not a "commercially sent parcel." "Additional resources" were called to the scene to determine if the package was a danger to the public.

The contest were found to not be a "public safety issues," according to authorities.

The incident remains under investigation.
