Police Probe Middle School Snapchat Threat

GURNEE, IL — Police investigated a threat made over SnapChat concerning Woodland Middle School last week and found the threat to be "not credible," police said.

Police received information from multiple sources regarding the threat on Thursday evening, according to a news release from the Gurnee Police Department. School resource officers and detectives worked with administrators to investigate the threat and determined the person who made the threat.

Police say the threat was made "irresponsibly" by a juvenile who lives in another state.

Threats are pending in the case, police said.
