Round Lake Woman, 32, Dies In Townhome Fire: Coroner

ROUND LAKE, IL — A 32-year-old Round Lake woman found dead inside a townhome after a fire in Round Lake Tuesday night has been identified.

Preliminary results from an autopsy show Karli Corey died as a result of injuries consistent with the inhalation of products of combustion, according to the Lake County Coroner's Office.

The blaze broke out at about 10:10 p.m. Tuesday in a townhome in the 1400 block of Remington Lane in Round Lake. Corey was found on the second floor of the townhome and pronounced dead at the scene.

Local fire investigators as well as the Office of the State Fire Marshal are investigating the blaze.
