Several Crashes, Stalled Cars Reported In Grayslake Area
Drivers should expect traffic delays along some heavily traveled roadways in Lake County Wednesday morning.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — Several crashes across northern Lake County are leading to traffic delays Wednesday morning.
As of 9 a.m., heavy delays are being reported because of crashes in the area of Gelden Road at Deep Lake Road north of Old Mill Creek and along Monaville Road west of Fairfield Road near Fox Lake Hills, according to the Lake County PASSAGE website.
A crash on Rollins Road east of Hainesville Road in Round Lake Beach as well as a collision on Interstate 94 near Route 120 in Libertyville is also causing delays. As of 9:05 a.m., traffic was moving slow in the area of Hunt Club Road at Route 173, Washington Street and Almond Road in Gurnee and Route 137 east of O'Plaine Road in Green Oaks due to stalled cars, according to Lake County PASSAGE.

Motorists woke up to snow-covered and slippery roadways Wednesday morning. Snow is expected to continue to fall Wednesday morning and could cause reduced visibilities, according to the National Weather Service.
Hazardous travel conditions are expected through early Wednesday afternoon and motorists are urged to allow extra time for their travel and to take it slow while driving.
