Video Captures Smash-And-Grab Burglars Hitting Gurnee Best Buy
Video surveillance captured three suspects going into the store and taking several Apple computers and cellphones, police said.
GURNEE, IL — Gurnee Police Department officers responded at 9:55 p.m. Monday to a burglary at Best Buy in the 6500 block of Route 132 in Gurnee. According to a release from the Gurnee Police Department, officers arrived and found that someone had used a rock to smash the glass in the front door of the business. Video surveillance showed three male suspects going into the store and taking several Apple computers and cellphones from the display stand, police said in the news release.
Store employees were alerted to the burglary when alarms at the Apple display went off, according to police. Police said they don't know how much was taken.
