Washington Square Wellness Festival A Success on Many Levels

Several hundred residents came out to visit the Washington Square Wellness Festival on Saturday.

The third annual Washington Square Wellness Festival held Saturday, Sept. 29, was consistently busy throughout the sunny afternoon as residents from around the area stopped by to learn about the business vendors, grab up free samples and support the Oasis Grayslake Youth Center.

"It was a success on so many levels," said Matt Petersen of the Fitness Pursuit, who helped organize the event.

"Every time I walked around or glanced across the festival there was one to four people at each vendor talking and participating in the activities. There were a lot of smiles across the crowd," he said.

The event raised about $500 for the Oasis Grayslake Youth Center.

"A big thank you goes out the the planning committee and all the vendors that gave the Wellness Festival its energy," said Petersen.
