Water Main Break Closes Portion Of Old Grand Avenue: Officials

GURNEE, IL — A water main break is causing traffic throughout Lake County Tuesday evening, officials announced.

Water main work began on Old Grand Avenue from Delany to O'Plaine roads at around 3:40 p.m. and were still ongoing at 4:30 p.m. The stretch of road remained closed Tuesday evening while crews worked to repair the water main.

Traffic officials suggested drivers in the area use Route 132 as a replacement around the traffic.
