6 Arrested for DUI, Including Man with a License Revoked for Prior DUI

The following is from the Highland Park Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt:

Aggravated DUI

Jermaine Robinson, 39, of the 2300 block of 53rd Street in Kenosha, WI, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, speeding, driving while license revoked, driving under the influence while revoked for DUI and aggravated driving under the influence after being stopped by police in the in the 2500 block of Skokie Valley Road at 2 a.m. Aug. 3. He was transported to bond court pending court date.

DUI

Kiorra Pettius, 28, of the 1700 block of Golf Road in Waukegan, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and speeding after being stopped by police in the 1400 block of Park Avenue West at 11:45 p.m. July 28. Pettius was released on a personal recognizance bond with a Sept. 5 court date.

Francisco Sarmiento, 20, of the 300 block of Temple Avenue in Highland Park, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and obstructing traffic after being stopped by police near the intersection of Beverly Place and Hilary Avenue at 2:30 a.m. July 31. He was released on a personal recognizance bond with a Sept. 5 court date.

Gilat Zamost, 44, of the 800 block of Havard Court in Highland Park, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and disobeying a stop sign after being stopped by police in the 1600 block of Old Deerfield Road at 11 p.m. Aug.1. Zamost was released on a personal recognizance bond with a Sept. 5 court date.

Kaya Dikmenli, 19, of the 1100 block of Auburn in Buffalo Grove, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, possession of cannabis, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage, no brake light illuminated and speeding after being stopped by police in the in the 2000 block of Deerfield Road at 3:30 a.m. Aug. 2. Dikmenli was transported to bond court pending court date. Passenger Emil Evans, 20, of the 9300 block of LaJolla Circle in Huntington Beach, CA, was found to have a failure to appear warrant from DuPage County. Evans posted a cash bond and was released.

Ector Diaz, 50, of the 900 block of Halifax Drive in Kissimmee, FL, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance and speeding more than 35 MPH over the limit after being stopped by police in the in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road at 4 a.m. Aug. 3. Diaz was transported to bond court pending court date.

Speeding more than 35 MPH over the limit

Dorothea Yordan, 37, of the 700 block of Fox Hunt Trail in Deerfield, was arrested and charged with speeding more than 35 MPH over the limit after being stopped by police in the 300 block of the Edens Expressway at 2:45 p.m. July 31. Yordan was released on a personal recognizance bond with a Sept. 10 court date.

Driving with a suspended license

Anita Ellison, 54, of the 2100 block of N. LaPorte Avenue in Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended after police responded to a two-car accident in the 1900 block of Skokie Valley Road at 3 p.m. July 31. Ellison was released on a personal recognizance bond with a Sept. 10 court date.
