$600 Cash Stolen From Unlocked Car: Highland Park Crime Blotter

The crime blotter covers incidents in Highland Park from Sept. 29 to Oct. 5.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following is the most recent crime blotter from the Highland Park Police Department.

TRESPASSING

  • Backyard - Sept. 29 at 4:34 p.m.
    • A resident living in the 1200 block of Arbor Avenue told police a woman took pears off of a tree in their backyard.

BURGLARY

  • Attempt - Sept. 30 at 3:04 p.m.
    • A resident reported someone attempted to steal from their car parked in the 500 block of Broadview Avenue. The resident told police that someone entered their car between Sept. 25 and Sept. 30, but nothing had been stolen.
  • Attempt - Oct. 2 at 3:09 p.m.
    • A resident reported that their car was broken into in the 2500 block of Sheridan Road and their credit card was stolen.
  • Attempt - Oct. 3 at 12:03 p.m.
    • Police received a report of a burglary in the 2500 block of Sheridan Road. The reporting party told officers that someone broke into their rental car on Oct. 1 and took unspecified items.
  • Vehicle - Sept. 27 at 1:24 p.m.
    • A resident reported that their unlocked car was broken into in the 400 block of Roger Williams Avenue. The reporting party told officers that$600 in cash was taken from inside.
