8th Annual 'Valentines For Vets' Launched By U.S. Rep. Brad Schneider
Residents across the 10th District are invited to send in Valentine's Day cards and letters thanking local veterans for their service ahead.

LINCOLNSHIRE, IL — Drop boxes are now open to collect Valentine's Day cards for local veterans at Congressman Brad Schneider's district office. It is the eighth year that the congressman has hosted his "Valentines for Vets" program.
Last year, staff at his office collected more than 2,000 cards from students at local schools and residents around the 10th Congressional District.
Schneider (D-Highland Park) then delivered the cards to vets at Lovell Federal Health Care Center and veteran-run businesses and organizations throughout the district.

"The gratitude we hold for our servicemen and women did not end when they hung their uniform; a small gesture like a Valentine's card can go a long way in expressing that gratitude," Schneider said. "I'm eager to receive and distribute the wonderful cards community members of all ages will submit this year."

Constituents have until Feb. 9 to drop off cards in the drop box at 111 Barclay Blvd., Suite 200, in Lincolnshire.
Anyone with questions about the program can also call the office at 847-383-4870.
