Lacey Horwitch, a member of our community, urgently needs our help! Lacey, age 8, has been diagnosed with HLH (hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis). She has been at the
University of Chicago since August.
Lacey is currently in need of a bone marrow transplant.
There will be a bone marrow drive on Sunday, December 11th at North Suburban Beth El 1175 Sheridan Road, Highland Park from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Grossinger Brickman Activity Room.
Anyone age 18-60 can be tested to see if they are a match and to join the Bone Marrow Registry. The initial test consists of a cheek swab, further tests are only done if you are a match for someone in need.
For additional information about the procedures and the National Bone Marrow Registry, visit bethematch.com or call 1-800-MARROW2 (1-800-627-7692).
