Art Exhibition at The Art Center Highland Park Explores What It Means to “Dwell”
Blending fine art and interior design, Where we dwell isn't your average art show.

The Art Center Highland Park continues its commitment to engaging the North Shore with Where we dwell, a powerful exhibition that invites reflection on the emotional, artistic, and physical spaces we call home. Featuring artists Michelle Peterson-Albandoz, Arlene Byster, and Michael McGuire, this summer show is presented in collaboration with Echt Gallery and runs through August 2, 2025.
The exhibition holds deep local resonance, showcasing work that examines sustainability, identity, and the environments we inhabit—key topics for Highland Park and surrounding communities.
Michelle Peterson-Albandoz reclaims found wood from Chicago’s urban landscape to create intricate, abstract compositions. Her art honors nature’s persistence amid urban development.
