Convertible Chevy Camaro Stolen From Driveway: Cops

Driving Under the Influence

Jonathan Baker, 30, of the 400 block of Village Green, Lincolnshire, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, open transportation of alcohol, improper lane use and resisting a police officer after being stopped by police at about 12:30 a.m. Nov. 22, in the 400 block of Naida Terrace. Baker was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of Dec. 26.

Forgery

Maya Rashid, 19, of the, 9300 block of South Crandon Street, Chicago, was arrested and charged with possession of a forged document. Marquise Shores, 18, of the 1000 block of East 92nd Street, Chicago, was arrested and charged with possession of a forged document, delivery of a forged document, possession of cannabis and obstructing a police officer.

Police responded to a report of two subjects that had passed a counterfeit $100 bill at a business in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road on Nov. 22.

DUI and Pot Charge

Anthony Omlor, 39, of the 200 block of Morgan Place, Highwood, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, open transportation of alcohol and improper lane use after being stopped by police at about 3:34 a.m. Nov. 23, in the 1100 block of Half Day Road. Omlor was released on a cash bond with a court date of Dec. 26.

Tools Taken From Van

Multiple power tools were taken Nov. 19 from a white Mercedes Sprinter van parked in the 2900 block of Parkside Drive. Entry to the van was gained by breaking a window.

Package Stolen

A UPS package was delivered at about 4:30 p.m. Nov. 20 to a residence in the 1000 block of Centerfield Court. At 4:45 p.m., a dark vehicle pulled into the driveway, and the passenger exited and took the package from the front of the residence, then fled.

Multiple Packages Stolen

Four parcels—one UPS, one Fed Ex and two U.S. Postal Service—were stolen from a front door step Nov. 15, Nov. 18 and Nov. 20, in the 1900 block of Beverly Place.

Firewood Stolen

A large amount of firewood that was delivered was reported missing from a front lawn in the 1500 block of Eastwood Avenue sometime overnight from 9:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. Nov. 22.

Stolen Car

A red 1998 convertible Chevrolet Camaro with a black soft top was stolen from a driveway in the 1800 block of Garland Avenue sometime between 9 p.m. Nov. 22, and 9 a.m. Nov. 23. The vehicle was unlocked with the ignition key in the center console.
