Crash Sends Vehicle Onto Train Tracks Near Highland Park: Metra
Cleanup continues as multiple trains are stopped or delayed following the Monday morning incident.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — Cleanup continues following a Monday morning car accident that sent one of the vehicles involved onto Metra train tracks near Highland Park. According to Metra UP-N, the car remains stuck on the tracks as of 6:30 a.m. and several trains are experiencing extensive delays.
Details of the conditions of the drivers involved in the two-car accident have n0t been released.
The incident, which happened at around 4:45 a.m., involved two cars. Train No. 308, which was scheduled to depart Highland Park at 6:59 a.m., will not operate due to the incident. Metra said trains No. 310 and 312 will accommodate customers.

In addition, train No. 302, scheduled to arrive at the Ogilvie Transportation Center at 6:23 a.m., is stopped near Lake Forest, according to Metra.
At 7:20 a.m., Metra said Train No. 316, scheduled to depart Highland Park at 7:59 a.m., will not operate. Train No. 320 will be the next train making all scheduled stops to Chicago.
