Drunken Highwood Man Charged After Green Bay Road Crash: Blotter

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The information below comes from Highland Park and Highwood police and Lake County courts as a record of those arrested by police. INCIDENTS
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
- Police were notified of spray-painted graffiti on the pedestrian overpass bridge over Old Skokie Road around 4 p.m. on Feb. 20.
- Police were notified of graffiti in the parking garage at 609 Laurel Ave. prior to 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 23.
SHOPLIFTING

- Someone walked into Williams Ski and Patio at 1672 Old Skokie Road and stole a Helly Hansen jacket worth about $550 at some point prior to 4 p.m. Feb. 20.
- At some point prior to 2 p.m. on Feb. 22, three shoplifters reportedly stole more than $2,300 worth of products from the Ulta Beauty at 135 Skokie Valley Road.
- A trio of shoplifters stole baskets with an unspecified amount of liquor from the Target, 2099 Skokie Valley Road, prior to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 22.
- Someone stole about $125 worth of merchandise from the Sunset Foods, 1812 Green Bay Road, prior to noon on Feb. 24.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
A 50-year-old Highland Park man was arrested and charged with violating an active order of protection after police got a report of a violation of an order of protection in the lobby of the police department shortly before midnight on Feb. 21.
A 28-year-old Chicago man was arrested around 1:15 a.m. on Feb. 23 following a traffic stop on the southbound Edens Expressway and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol concentration of 0.08 or greater and driving with a suspended license. He was also issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and suspended registration.

A 30-year-old Highwood man was arrested around 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 25 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol concentration of 0.08 or greater after police were dispatched to a traffic crash at the intersection of Green Bay Road and Elm Place. Police issued him citations for illegal transportation of an open container of alcohol by a driver and failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
William Michael Rudoll, 35, of the 2000 block of St Johns Avenue, Highland Park, was arrested around 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 26 and charged with aggravated domestic battery, a felony, and two counts of misdemeanor domestic battery after police were called to a report of a battery in progress.
