Highland Park Community Foundation Awards Over $1M In Grants To Local Orgs

The Highland Park Community Foundation awarded more than $1 million to 64 local organizations that aim to strengthen the community.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — For the first time in its history, the Highland Park Community Foundation awarded more than $1 million in grants to local organizations helping to uplift the Highland Park-Highwood community.

The HPCF held a Grant Awards reception on Oct. 29, where $1.012,240 in grants was distributed among 64 local organizations. Grant recipients include childhood education and youth development services, mental health services, support for seniors and people with disabilities, and cultural arts programming.

One non-profit that received a grant was Keeping Families Covered, based in Waukegan. The organization provides hygiene products for every age and stage of life.

"We’re grateful to be recognized among such an inspiring group of grantees, all of whom are making a meaningful difference in our community," Keeping Families Covered said. "Our heartfelt thanks to Highland Park Community Foundation for their continued support of our work. Together, we’re helping families access the essentials they need to participate in daily life with health and dignity."
