Man Arrested for Highland Park Burglaries
Cary, Ill. resident linked to multiple burglaries found hiding in Highland Park home.

Highland Park Police arrested a 32-year-old Cary, Ill. resident for residential burglary on March 6.
According a news release issued by the Highland Park Police Department, the police responded to an alarm at an empty house in the 1400 block of Waverly Road at 2 a.m. on March 6. Officers found two broken door windows leading into the home. Once inside, the officers found Justin Giles hiding with his labrador retriever on the second floor.
Officers later found Giles' silver 2007 BMW in the 2500 block of Sheridan Road -- two miles away from the Waverly home.

A search of his vehicle and statements Giles made at the time of his arrest have linked him to a string of burglaries throughout the night of March 6 in Highland Park, including the burglary of , a construction site and a vehicle, according to the news release.
Giles was transported to the Lake County Court building on March 6. His bond was set at $250,000.

Investigators have recovered a large number of stolen items and other property related to these incidents, according to the release.
