Update: Lake Forest High School Student Killed by Metra
Incident occurred shortly before 7 a.m. Monday.

Update 3:20 p.m.: The 15-year-old Lake Forest High School student hit by a Metra train Monday morning died, TribLocal reports.
Counselors met with the boy's classmates, according to TribLocal.

trains are running delayed Monday morning after a pedestrian was hit by a train near Lake Forest, according to the Metra website.
The man was not killed and has been transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, reports the Tribune.

All tracks have been released for movement past the accident site near Lake Forest. The following trains are operating behind schedule:
- Train #318, scheduled to arrive Chicago at 8:18 a.m., is operating 45 to 50 minutes behind schedule.
- Train #320, scheduled to arrive Chicago at 8:26 a.m., is operating 60 to 65 minutes behind schedule.
- Train #322, scheduled to arrive Chicago at 8:35 a.m., is operating 35 to 50 minutes behind schedule.
- Train #326, scheduled to arrive Chicago at 8:47 a.m., is operating 15 to 25 minutes behind schedule this train will stops at Highland Park and Winnetka then express to Chicago.
- Train #328, scheduled to arrive Chicago at 9:05 a.m., will express to Highland Park then make all stops to Chicago.
- Outbound train #309, scheduled to arrive Kenosha at 8:20 a.m., is operating 40 to 45 minutes behind schedule.
